Removed the existing rock wall that was obstructing access to the garage and replaced it with a new concrete retaining wall, significantly improving the flow and accessibility to the garage.
Additionally, we replaced the old front entry stairs with new concrete stairs and landings, incorporating proper drainable materials to ensure long-term durability and functionality.
We began by clearing the site for the new home and constructing an access road to allow truck access to demolish the existing cabin. We then excavated the area for the new house, including blasting where necessary.
Once the excavation was complete, we backfilled the new foundation and dug to install three septic tanks.
We also trenched for utility services and built rock and concrete retaining walls to support the landscape. The driveway was then finish-graded, preparing it for paver installation.
Finally, we demolished a second existing building to create space for the new septic field.
We removed the old concrete slab and stump and regraded the site to prepare for the new slab.
We then poured the new concrete slab and installed pedestals to support the timber frame structure.
Using a Cat 305.5 mini excavator, we carefully craned the beams into place, completing the construction of the timber frame cover.
